Community Softball and Baseball Evaluation Day

VHCBS will be doing evaluation of players on Sunday March 5th at Vernon Hills High School in the field house for our Community Baseball and Softball Players.

Please read all the info below.

We ask that your player bring their glove, helmet and bat. We will try and have extra helmets and bats but might not have your child size. Also, if the weather is bad they will need a change of shoes.

Evaluation times:


Double A: 9am to 10am

Triple A: 10am-11am

Minors and Majors: 11am-12pm


Sophmore: 12:30-1:30

Juniors and Seniors: 1:30-2:30 

No evaluations for the following groups: T-ball, Single A or Freshman

Happy New Years!!  Welcome to 2023!!  Registration is now OPEN through March 3rd. After March 3rd player acceptance will be based on roster availability.

Cougar Cancer Awareness Band

Over the past year our community has lost several members to cancer. To recognize not only those we lost this year but over time we have decided to start a Cougar Cancer Awareness event.  By purchasing one or more of these wristbands ($5 each) VHCBS will be donating the proceeds to two cancer organizations, Sloan Kettering  and St. Jude's. Be on the lookout for more info about events we are planning this upcoming season to recognize those that we have lost.  

All orders will be given to your coach.

The mission of the Vernon Hills Community Baseball and Softball Program is to increase the players' confidence and self-esteem;  develop each player’s values of teamwork, respect, honesty, courage, and sportsmanship; and maximize each players potential by giving them the skill and knowledge they need to succeed in the game of baseball and softball.
