VHCBS Grant Program

Vernon Hills Community Baseball and Softball (VHCBS) has created a Grant program to help parents who may need assistance with registration fees. This includes full and partial grants for registration fees, based on expressed financial need.


Grant Eligibility Requirements:

Those seeking a grant must explain the nature of the hardship and/or provide documentation supporting the request. Specifically, to be eligible for a grant, the following information must be provided to the VP, Travel Baseball Commissioner.

  • Complete the grant application form.
  • Provide a detailed explanation of the financial hardship.
  • Complete an VHCBS registration form containing all of the player’s information. Payment may be submitted after final determination of the grant amount.
  • Grant form should be completed at time of registration.


How to Apply for a Grant:

To ensure proper due diligence, every grant request is examined and assessed on its own merit.

  • Download and complete the Grant Application below.
  • Once the grant form has been submitted, the VHCBS Board of Directors will review the request.
  • The Grant Review Period will take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
  • The VP, Travel Baseball Commissioner will send the decision via e-mail on the grant request after that review date.
  • All decisions of the VHCBS Board of Directors are final.
