The philosophy of the Vernon Hills Community Baseball and Softball Program is to increase the players' confidence and self-esteem; help them develop an understanding of the value of teamwork, honesty, courage, respect for authority and good sportsmanship; and maximize the potential of each player's skill and knowledge of the games of baseball and softball

• Outdoor practices start the first week of April - weather permitting
• Season ends by July 1st
• Practices will be 2 times a week until games start. Then 1 practice and 2 games a week.

*NEW THIS SEASON - AAA, MINORS & MAJORS WILL BE USING USA STAMPED BATS!*

T-Ball

• 10-12 games and at least 1 practice per week
• Teams will be 5-7 players focused on skill development (Throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting). 
• Teams are formed by friend/school requests. Please list school.
• Games will be played on Tuesdays & Saturdays. (Note: Makeup games may be scheduled on Sundays.)
• Ages for this program at 4 and 5 year olds (Pre-K) 
• Program Fee: $150

Single A

• All Coach Pitch/Tee - Skill Development Focus (Throwing, Catching, Fielding, Hitting)
• 10- 14 games
• Teams formed by friend/school requests.
• Games will be scheduled for Thursdays & Saturdays (Note: Rainouts will be scheduled some Fridays or Sundays)
• Age group is 6 years old (Kindergarten)
• Program Fee: $165

Double A

• Part Coach/Kid Pitch
• 12 - 16 games
• Games will be played 1 time during the week on Monday and 1 game on Saturday.  (Note: Rainouts will be scheduled some Fridays or Sundays)
• Ages for this program are 7-8 year olds (1st & 2nd grade)
• Program Fee: $200

Triple A

• Kid Pitch
• 12 - 16 games Games will be played against neighboring communities
• Games will be played 1 time during the week on Wednesday and 1 game on Saturday.  (Note: Some makeup games may be scheduled on Sunday.)
• Ages for this program are 9-10 year olds (3rd & 4th grade)
• Program Fee: $200 

Minors

• 12 - 16 games - Games will be played against neighboring communities
• Practices will start indoors during after spring break.  
• Games Scheduled to Begin in mid to late April
• Games will be played 1-2 times during the week on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday and 1 game on Saturday.  (NOTE: Some makeup games may be scheduled on Sunday.)
• Ages for this program are 11-12 year olds (5th & 6th grade)
• Program Fee: $225

Majors

• 12 - 16 games - Games will be played against neighboring communities
• Practices will start indoors during after spring break.  
• Games Scheduled to Begin in mid to late April
• Games will be played 1-2 time during the week on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday and 1 game on Saturday.  (NOTE: Some makeup games may be scheduled on Sunday.)
• Ages for this program are 13-14 year olds (7th & 8th grade)
• Program Fee: $225

*There is a late fee of $50.00 after February 28th.*

Refund policy:

We can not issue a full refund once uniforms are ordered and teams are formed. 

We always need coaches! Please volunteer this season.  Also, note all board members and coaches are volunteering their time to make this a great experience for your child every season.
