Overview

The philosophy of the Vernon Hills Community Baseball and Softball Program is to increase the players' confidence and self-esteem; help them develop an understanding of the value of teamwork, honesty, courage, respect for authority and good sportsmanship; and maximize the potential of each player's skill and knowledge of the games of baseball and softball.

The Travel Baseball season includes indoor winter workouts January through March and the outdoor spring/summer season April through July.  Our teams typically play 30-40 games combining league play and tournaments.  Our teams will play in the Lakeshore Feeder Baseball League and/or the Mid-Suburban Baseball League.  Our 8U team as well as our 2nd team at 9U, 10U, and 11U will also play in our house program. These teams will play in fewer tournaments. Most tournaments are within or near the Chicagoland area but each team will generally enter one destination tournament each season. Our 12U teams have been attending Cooperstown All-Star Village each year since 2014.
